Ronald "Buster" Gene Cramer, 70 of Pine Mountain died peacefully on August 1 after surviving four years without his Rose by his side. A lung cancer survivor for approximately two years, the disease returned and Ron was unable to fight it off.

Ron was born on September 10, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1960. He met Roseann Ellen O'Boyle, in New York and they married on May 20, 1967. He worked for Dubois Chemicals in three states, owned and operated his own hardware store in West Covina, worked for Monrovia Nursery Company, and eventually retired from TelCom after twenty years of loyal service.

Upon his retirement Ron became a full-time resident in Pine Mountain. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, walking, Pine Mountain Club activities and playing cards with the boys.

Ron is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie and Sheryl Cramer of Glendora, Mark and Stefanie Cramer of Simi Valley; by three grandchildren, Mandi, Gary and Logan, and four great-grandchildren, Ireland, Raven, Kien and Bailey. Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years. Ron donated his body to the UCLA School of Medicine. A memorial potluck service is planned at Pine Mountain Clubhouse on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 12 p.m.
