Mrs. LeRoy S. Jenkins Jr., 68, of Miller died Friday, April 21, 1995, at Newman Hospital. She drove a school bus for 25 years for the Miller School District and later for the North Lyon County School District.
Mary Lou Rolfsmeyer, the daughter of Henry and Nellie Staufenberg Rolfsmeyer, was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Alta Vista. Her mother died when she was 8 years old. She had lived in Miller since 1947.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Miller United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class at the church. She was a charter member of the Golden Rule Extension Unit.
She was married to LeRoy S. Jenkins, Jr. on July 3, 1947, at Alta Vista. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Russ Jenkins of Emporia, Darrell Jenkins of Osage City, Clint Jenkins of Miller and Clayt Jenkins of Admire; one daughter, Phyllis Jenkins of Emporia; five brothers, Carl Rolfsmeyer of Westminister, Colo., Edwin Weeks of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Dean Rolfsmeyer of Lincoln, Neb., Don Daily of Holdridge, Neb.; one sister Leola Meissner of Westminster, Colo., and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at the Miller United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Harveyville Cemetery. The Rev. Ellen Peach officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miller United Church and sent to Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City.
