Earl Alexander, age 86, of Spring Lake, Michigan, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010, at a Muskegon, MI, hospital. He was born August 21, 1924 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, to Raymond and Verna (Estes) Alexander.

Earl lived most of his life in the Akron, Ohio area. He retired from BF Goodrich and insurance sales. He served his country in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hiking, golf, biking, and bowling.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Waneta (Stonesifer) Dye whom he married on June 7, 1994; daughter Linda L. (Bill) Penix of Atwater, Ohio; grandchildren Bill (Tracy) Penix of Atwater, OH, and Scott (Christine) Penix of Suffield, OH; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Neva (Ott) Alexander in 1989.

Friends may meet the family 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a graveside service immediately following at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
