MARION, Ky. Bennett Gray Alvis, a retired Farm Bureau Insurance agent, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Marion. Mr. Alvis, 70, was a member of Marion United Methodist Church and Bingham Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary H. Alvis; a son, Ronald Alvis of Marion, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tucker-Gilbert Funeral Home. The Rev. Gainey Bohannon will officiate, and burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today, where Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 this evening.
