Cora Belle Nunn died March 19, 1948. She was 64 years of age and was a resident of Niles and Ottawa County for 27 years. She died at the Irving Brown home in Bennington, KS. She was born in Canal Winchester, Fairfield County, Ohio, on December 5, 1883. Her husband, Benjamin Franklin Nunn, died in 1935. Survivors included her ten children. Also surviving were three brothers: Frank Anders of L. A., CA; Harvey and Samuel Anders of Illinois; and four sisters, Pearle, Nellie, Martha and Florence, all of Champaign IL, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church in Niles and burial was in the Niles Cemetery.

Cora Belle Anders was a gifted musician as were her siblings. They had a family band in Philo, IL with all of the siblings playing a musical instrument. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Franklin Nunn in 1910 and soon after their marriage they came to Kansas.

For many years Mrs. Nunn was a patient sufferer of palsy and was entirely helpless for the three years before her death.

Her five sons and one son in law served in World War II. She was very proud of all members of her family.
