Rhoda Dean was born the daughter of Mr Edward L. Dean and Mrs Almira Hill-Dean, on Feb. 6 1839, in Ohio. Her family moved to Missouri when she was a young girl. She married on April 16 1855 in Knox Ohio, to Mr Josephus F. Clutter and to this union 4 children were born. Lucinda, Horace, Amasa and Clara. After her hubby had been dead for sometime she moved in with her daughter, Mrs Irvine Walters. where she remained with daughter Clara Walters until her death. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Parnell where Mrs Clutter had been a long time resident, of 22 years. Rev. C.C. Pritchard officiated. Burial was in the cemetery at Oxford.
