Norma Christine Hatch Rewak Glass

Norma passed away on April 26, 2012 from cancer.

Norma was born in Boise, Idaho on July 31, 1942 to Francis (Frank) and Mary Brown Hatch. She grew up in Boise graduating from Boise High.

She married David Rewak, they were later divorced. Married William Glass in December 1967 for a combined family of 6 children, Bill's Children: Bryan(deceased), Shannon (Dave) White, Boise, ID, William III (Cathy) Boise, ID, Tammy Evans, Nampa, ID, and Norma's children David, Lompoc, CA, and Christine Eidem, Ogden, UT (both of whom Bill adopted) and then they had 4 children, Timothy (Kelly), Sacramento, KY, DeNice Hoffman, Olympia, WA, Michael (Stephanie), Vancouver, WA, and James, Ogden, UT and a friend and helper Jeanette Nickel.

Norma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and served as a Visiting Teacher and loved working in the library. One of her greatest joys was going to the Temple.

She worked at many jobs starting as a carhop in Boise at the Frost Top Drive-in, as a bartender in Elko, NV and a data transcriber at Thiokol and IRS. Retiring from IRS in 2009.

Her greatest joy next to her family was traveling and while Bill was in the mobile home business they traveled together delivering and setting up mobile homes. While working at IRS she went to Washington DC and worked for 3 months, enjoying all the sights.

She is survived by her children and step-children; brothers, Eugene Hatch, Boise, ID, and Melvin (Ida Ruth) Hatch, Hood River, OR, and JoAnn (Glenn) Farmer, Boise, ID; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Vea and Ken Johnson; sister-in-law Joyce Hatch; her husband, William H Glass and step-son, Bryan Glass.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd Ogden, UT. A viewing will also be held Friday, May 11, 2012 from 10am to 10:45am at the Cloverdale Mortuary, 1200 North Cloverdale Road, Boise, ID with a graveside service following at 11am at Cloverdale Cemetery.
