Maggie Schmidt was born July 15, 1925, the daughter of Rosina and Jacob Garman. She grew up near Silva, ND. She married Mike Schmidt on June 24, 1947. They lived near Sykeston, ND. In 1957 they moved to Jamestown. Maggie was a devout Catholic and a proud member of St. Mary's Cathedral. She was a long time member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Her favorite pastimes were quilting, doing puzzles, playing cards and visiting with her family.
She is survived by eight sons; Gene, Fred, Cary (Sue), Al (Candy), Adrian, Steve (Kristy), Michael (Kelly), Bob (Kris); five daughters; Terry (Roland), Pat, Trudi, Sheila, Chris; 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one sister Pauline.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers.
