Emma Druscilla Bare was born February 26, 1864 in Woburn, the daughter of Daniel and Nancy (Hendrix) Grigg. She first married George M. Long on February 28, 1884 in Greenville. He preceded her in death around 1887. She later married George P. Bare on September 3, 1889 in Greenville. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1926. They were the parents of five children, David "Dave" Bare, Chester "Chet" Bare, Celeste Bare, Benjamin Bare, and Laura Bare. Emma died on February 7, 1953 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland.
