Robert Aubrey Roland Brown 33rd Battalion of Narrabri, NSW. Pte Brown arrived in France 31 November 1916; on 23 February 1917 he was operated on for severe appendicitis in a Casualty Clearing Station in France and then evacuated to England. He spent the next months in and out of hospital until he was finally diagnosed with diabetes and eventually repatriated to Australia on 24 May 1918 were he was discharged from the AIF on 27 August 1918 as unfit for service. Pte Brown died of illness on 15 June 1919.

He received the 1914/15 Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal for his overseas service in France.
