He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Bakersville and the District 12 Ruritan Club. He had been employed at Pangborn Corp. for 22 years and was a member of UAW-CIO Local 842.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherne Harne Pope; two brothers, George N. Ridgley and Edgar Ridgley, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Mrs. William Reilly, Menominee, Michigan.
Funeral services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
