A graveside service was held Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Antioch Community with Rev. Joel Blevins and Pastor William Souther officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was born October 31, 1943 in Wilkes County to Willie and Doretha Blackburn Anderson. She worked for Wilkes Glove for many years and then for Tyson Foods before becoming disabled. She was a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cheryl Anderson Bell.
She is survived by: one daughter, Lee Ann Johnson of North Wilkesboro; one son, Ronnie Alexander and wife, Cheryl of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Ann Billings of Roaring River, Mary Elmore of Manning, SC; one brother, Jim Anderson of Roaring River; three grandchildren, Jayci Alexander, Jon Alexander and Morgan Johnson.
