Some researchers believe Solomon's father was named Levi A. Barfield (1790-1875) and his mother Elizabeth (1792-1866). Others list his parents as Theophalus Barfield (1785-1860) and Mary Cogdell (1790-1860). We are working on verification at present. One of Solomon's sons was also named Levi "Bull" or "Bulljack" Barfield, buried at Providence Cemetery.

There were no death certificates (state documents) issued in the 1890s. However, we think Solomon died in Worth County about April 1895. He is living at the time of the US 1880 Worth Census. Many of the Barfields of this line were buried at Salem Cem., Isabella, Worth County, Ga.

In the 1820 US Census Solomon is shown as living in Greene County, NC.
Some researchers believe Solomon's father was named Levi A. Barfield (1790-1875) and his mother Elizabeth (1792-1866).
