Son of Mrs. Mary Townsley Dunn who resided in the District Of Columbia.

Frank served as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) & Pilot of Flight 723/12, Air Transport Squadron 7, U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

This flight was taking LCDR Carnochan, who was an Intelligence Officer & Commander of the ComAirLant Air Information Center, on inspection tours along with his staff (Slimak & Zimmermann).

Frank died in the "Line Of Duty" when his plane crashed in the jungle during a regularly scheduled flight 2 1/2 miles northeast of Zandery Field, Paramaribo, Suriname during the war.
