Son of Martin and Ritta Lawson Bullin, and husband of Frances Elizabeth Mabe. She was the daugther of Ehpraim Jackson and Paulina Mabe Mabe.

Civil War Service: Moses enlisted in Co. F of the 21st NC infantry regement on April 24, 1864 at Danubry, NC. He was present on muster rolls through February of 1865.

There is no marker for him. The cemetery he is said to be buried in is located on the right side of Hwy 8 South between Jewell Rd and Bob Mabe Rd, just below Lawsonville, NC. The cemetery is in a field behind the home of Carlton Mabe.

Obituary for Moses P. Bullin as transcribed from the April 12, 1933 edition of the Danbury Reporter:

MOSES P. BULLEN DIES, AGED 98

PASSING OF AN EX-CONFEDERATE SOLDIER, WHO WAS POSSIBLY THE COUNTY'S OLDEST CITEZEN.

Uncle Moses P. Bullen died at his home in Peter's Creek Township Thursday of pneumonia. He gave in his age at 98, which would probably make him the oldest citizen of the county.
Uncle Moses was an Ex-Confederate Soldier having entered the service of the Confederacy with the first drafts from this county in 1861.
His wife has been dead a number of years. He is survived by a number of children.
The interment was near the home of the deceased.
