Mrs. Valentine was born August 30, 1923, in White Plains, N.Y., a daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Horstman) Johnson. She worked for many years for the Yorktown Heights, N.Y., school district as a teacher's aide. She then worked as a secretary in the executive office of the Westchester County government for 15 years, retiring in 1989.
She leaves two sons, Kenneth Valentine and his wife, Kathryn, of Bridgewater and Robert Valentine and his wife, Janice, of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.; two sisters, Catherine Louise Johnson and Mary Hamp; four grandchildren, Stephanie Ladin, Gregory Valentine, Kimberly Valentine and Olivia Valentine, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service took place April 19 at the Lillis Funeral Home, New Milford. Burial followed at South Cemetery, Bridgewater.
