John W. Hamshire, 82, a lifelong resident of Marshall, died at the home of his son, William at Waterloo on January 30. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marshall with the Rev. Mark Mueller officiating. Burial was in the Marshall Catholic Cemetery. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome Fullert and Mrs. Robert Woerpel of Sun Prairie; two sons, William at Waterloo and Walter at Marshall; one sister; and several grandchildren. Two daughters preceded him in death. Pallbearers were John Langer, Dan Cummings, Frank Lazers, Joseph Gmeinder, Francis Skala, and Frank Kratky.
