Louis Ehlenfeldt, 77, died Thursday, January 3, 1974 in a Sun Prairie nursing home after a brief illness. He was born in Jefferson on May 22, 1896.

Mr. Ehlenfeldt farmed in the Marshall area and retired in 1952. He was married to the former Genevieve Krause at Marshall, WI. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald of Monona and Wilfred of Sun Prairie; two daughters, Mrs. William Gavinski of Columbus and Mrs. David O'Neil of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Fred Kleinschmidt of Marshall; two brothers, Anton of Sun Prairie and John of Waterloo; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7 in Sacred Hearts Church. The rosary was recited in the Tuschen Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 6. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marshall.
