Clara W. (Lombard) Geddes, 84, of Weymouth, formerly of Rockland, passed away April 24, 2012. She was the loving wife of 47 years to the late James F. Geddes, who died in 1999. Mrs. Geddes was a 1945 graduate of Rockland High School, and lived most of her adult life in Weymouth. She enjoyed gardening, reading the Bible, and sharing her love of God with others. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Weymouth. She was the loving mother of James S. Geddes of South Carolina, Gail E. LaTaille of Lincoln, Va., Susan J. Porter of Weymouth, Peter L. Geddes of North Weymouth, David W. Geddes of Marshfield, and Victoria F. Smith of Friendswood, Texas. She was the sister of the late Mary Anderson, Fannie White and Henry G. Lombard Jr. She also leaves 15 cherished grandchildren. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her calling hours Friday, April 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center. Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Sea St., Quincy.
