Ruth was born August 3, 1857, Alton, Madison, Illinois, not far from St. Louis.
Parents: Thomas Hunt and Hannah Moon. They were converts to the L.D.S. Church in Denby, Derbyshire, England.
They came to Utah in 1863 when Ruth was age 6.
They lived in Moroni, Utah but soon moved to Monroe, Utah.
She married George Fraser February 15, 1875, in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City in plural marriage.
They lived in Richfield.
They were active in the L.D.S. Church.
George was a farmer.
Ruth was the mother of one child, Alexander Hunt Fraser, born January 30, 1876 in Richfield.
Ruth died six or eight months later from measles while visiting her parents in Monroe.
She was buried in the Richfield Pioneer Cemetery.

Her son, Alexander, was raised by the other plural wife, Elizabeth Burns Ramsay Fraser, who had no children.
Alexander became a farmer.
He married Sarah Emma Goold October 9, 1901, age 25, in the Salt Lake Temple.
He and his family moved to the L.D.S. town of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, about 1909, age about 33.
He was the father of 6 children.
He was struck by lightning and killed June 10, 1917, age 41, in Raymond.
His good wife had a very difficult time operating the farm and raising their four living children.
She died March 21, 1961, age 64, in Raymond.
