Alexander was born April 3, 1816, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
Parents: Alexander Fraser and Robins Strang.
His mother died when he was one month old.
His father died when he was 2 years, leaving him an orphan.
Could not attend schook, but taught himself to read and write.
Became a hand-loom weaver, weaving very high quality cloth. His wages were very small.
He was a slender man, about 6 feet tall with light hair and a beard. He was friendly and very honest.
Married Sarah Scott July 30, 1836, age 20.
Lived in Kirkintilloch, Dunbarton, Scotland.
Father of 7 children.
Converted to L.D.S. Church, baptized May 27, 1849, age 33.
Served as branch president.
Came to Utah 1868, aBioge 52, with help from the Pertetual Emigrating Fund.
Lived in Salt Lake City.
Worked at various jobs, including hauling stones for the Salt Lake Temple and weaving in a woolen mill.
I imagine he spoke with a scotch accent.
Moved to Prattville, Sevier, Utah in 1872, age 56.
Worked as a hand-loom weaver weaving rag carpets.
Soon moved to Richfield within the Richfield Ward. The wards were divided and they were in the Richfield 2nd Ward.
Died February 16, 1878, age 61, in Richfield from pneumonia.
Buried in the Richfield Pioneer Cemetery which is now beneath the high school football field with no respect for those buried there.
His wife was a widow for almost 29 years.

DIED in Richfield, Sevier County, Feb. 16th, 1878, after an illness of seven weeks ALEXANDER FRASER, born in Glasgow, Scotland, 1815. Embraced the Gospel in Kirkintillock, Dumbartonshire, in 1849. Presided over the Kirintillock Branch several years. Emigrated to Utah in 1868. Lived and died a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
