Services celebrating the life of Mary Alice Tuggle 90, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 First Baptist Church Homer. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Homer LA.

Visitation will be Sunday April 1, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rose-Neath Homer Chapel.

Mary Alice was born November 3. 1921 in Claiborne Parish, and passed away March 30, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was lifelong resident of Homer. Mary Alice retired from Maritzky's Clothing store after many years of dedicated work. She loved to cook for her family and friends, especially desserts. Her homemade baking was in high demand and she became known as "the cake lady" of Homer.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Homer and past President of the Claiborne Parish Homemakers Club. Preceding Mary Alice in death were her husband of 58 years Hamp Tuggle; her parents, Barney and Sudie Bridwell; sister Dorothy Michael.

MaryAlice is survived by daughter Glynda Brown, and grandson Wes Roan and wife Jeana; her very special"twins"great grandchildren Connor and Catherine Roan, Hollis Shane and husband Kylen, Tyler Palmer and husband Ben. and her, two great great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
