OBITUARY FOR MARGARET (MASBAUM) ANKENBRUCK

Mrs. Margaret Ankenbruck, 81 died at 10 a.m. yesterday, March 3, 1953, in her home, 735 East Wayne Street. She had been ill for one week. She was a life-long resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana and had been educated in the St. Mary’s Catholic school here in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Ankenbruck was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, its Rosary and Altar Societies. She was also a member of the Mission Club.
Surviving are a son, Carl Bernard (Cecelia) of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Miss Clara Ankenbruck, at home; nine grandchildren, Mrs. Mary (Paul) Trey, Thomas J. (Katherine) Ankenbruck, Mrs. Rita (Ernest P.) Miller, Mrs. Catherine M. (Eugene G.) Foley, Charles R. (Beatrice) Ankenbruck, and Miss Elizabeth Ankenbruck, James J., Gerald, and William Fiedler all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and nine great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband John Bernard Ankenbruck on March 31, 1950 and her daughter, Mrs. Helen E. (Carl J.) Fiedler on February 7, 1946. The body was taken to the Getz & Cahill Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today, March 4. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the V. Rev. Msgr. J. Nicholas Allgeier officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. The church’s Rosary and Altar Societies will meet jointly at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
