Harry Higman Strutt, 68, formerly of 1631 Third Street, New Brighton, died Sunday in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Born in Manchester, England, September 3, 1895, he was a son of the late David and Hannah Higman Strutt. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda and Julia and an infant son.
Mr. Strutt was retired after 30 years of service with the Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products Division where he began employment in the bending shop in 1929. He was a press ingot man at the time of his retirement. He was a former member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Beaver Falls and a British war veteran, having served in the British Army in World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Alice E. Strutt; one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Evelyn) Long, New Brighton; three grandchildren, Cynthia Long, Mrs. Leman Dolby, and Mrs. M. J. Bobbitt; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers living in England.
Friends will be received after 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Loyal B. Young Funeral Home, New Brighton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Loyal B. Young Funeral Home, New Brighton, with Rev. Arthur Morley in charge. Burial will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
