Mr. Wm. Brandenburg, formerly of Kemptown, this county, aged 77 years, died on February 19, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Basil Burns, at Mt. Airy, after a lingering illness of paralysis. Mr. Brandenburg was widely known and most highly respected. He is survived by two sons and two daughters. His wife, who was a daughter of the late Asbury Mullinix, died about ten years ago. The funeral took place on Sunday, February 22, at 2 p.m. at Howard chapel. Rev. Marriott, of Mt. Airy, assisted by Rev. Hoblitzel, of Liabon, conducted the service. The pall-bearers were Jason Mullinix, Wm. Hood, Charles Butler, John Long, Wm. Duvall and Thomas Hyatt. L. T. Lewis had charge of the funeral.
