Served in the Navy in WWII. Served in the army as a 2Lte in Korean War. He was #1 Dispatcher for the Springfield Fire Department and was on the Clark County Sheriff's Department for 30 years. He was also known as "The voice of the Clark County Fair" for many years, in the Red Information Booth. When he passed away, over 4,000 attended his funeral.
