Mrs. Hazel Bailey McCain, 36, of 608 Mayfield Avenue, Powderly, a lifelong Jefferson County resident, died at the residence this morning after a brief illness.
Surviving are the husband, Roy S. McCain; one son, Al Dudley Hazelwood; two daughters, Misses Elaine and Dorothy Hazelwood; the parents, Mr and Mrs. L. B. Bailey; two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Polcawich and Mrs. Olene Bailey, and one niece, Linda Polcawich, all of Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Patton's Chapel Church, the Rev. Roy Shubert officiating. Burial will be in Patton's Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Leonard C. Bailey, Foy Lee Bailey, W. A. Bailey, Leon Dudley, Johnny F. Dudley and Billy Mills. -- Birmingham News 23 Mar 1948 pg 7
