LINESVILLE — Sally Ann Bruney, 78, of Linesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2012, at her residence.
Born Nov. 27, 1933, in Little Falls, N.Y., she was a daughter of Harry and Maude Preisch Bellinger. She married James O. Bruney on July 10, 1953, in Fort Niagara, N.Y.; he preceded her in death on June 15, 2007.
She was a graduate of Amherst High School in New York in 1951, where she was involved in all aspects of athletics, music and the arts.
A mother and a homemaker, she worked with her husband in their past business, J.B. Business Forms and Systems in Linesville. She was a Meadville Medical Center volunteer for many years. She enjoyed cooking and having coffee with the neighborhood gals. She loved pets, especially cats. Sally cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Lee Gerhart and her husband, Richard; two grandsons, Adam James Gerhart and his wife, Tasha, and Alex Charles Gerhart; a granddaughter, Alyssa Lee Gerhart; a great-granddaughter, Alana Jolene Gerhart; two sisters, Patricia Schwab of Batavia, N.Y., and Jane Jackson of New Braunfels, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Mary Bellinger; and two brothers, Frank and Fred Bellinger.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A memorial service will follow on Friday at 11 a.m., with Chaplin Dennis Chludzinski of Lakeland Area Hospice of Erie officiating.
Burial will be private at Penn Line Cemetery.
