Sarah Colman born March 10, 1715/16 in Newbury, MA, the daughter of Thomas and Phebe (Pearson) Colman. She married , December 23, 1734 in Rowley, MA, Deacon Abner Spofford, the son of John and Dorcas (Hopkinson) Spofford. Sarah and Abner had thirteen children. Abner died in Rowley, MA, September 12, 1777, aged 73 years. Sarah married 2nd, November 24, 1778, Jonathan Wood of Boxford, MA, Jonathan Wood died. Sarah and Deacon Abner's daughter Phebe Spofford married, March 4, 1773, David Adams, the son of Isaac and Mary (Wood) Adams of Boxford, MA. David settled in Rindge, NH previous to his marriage. It is supposed that Sarah came to live with her daughter Phebe and her husband David in Rindge after the death of her 2nd husband, Jonathan Wood. Sarah died in Rindge October 4, 1790, aged 74 years.
