ROBERT CARL SCHMIDT

Robert Carl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schmidt, died at the hospital at Iowa City on Thursday, July 24. He had been taken there the first of that week for treatment, but it seemed nothing could be done for him. The remains were brought to West Bend and funeral services were conducted in the Presbyterian church by Rev. S.V. Leimbach. Burial was made in the West Bend cemetery.

Robert was born at West Bend on May 18, 1915. He was 4 years, 2 months and 6 days old at the time of his death. He was a bright little fellow and will be sadly missed by his parents. It is hard at any time to give up a loved one but it seems sad when just as he was able to be of some comfort and joy to his fond parents, he must be taken. Besides the parents, Robert leaves one brother to mourn his loss. The Journal sympathizes with them in their bereavement.
