Age 79, born in Hazleton, son of the late Neil and Bridgette Brown Brown. He had lived in Meadville for many years before moving to the Erie area in 1978.

He worked in television and radio broadcasting for more than 50 years. For many years, he was the on-air personality on WQLN-FM's "Two Cents Worth" radio show. He had worked for WQLN since 1967, retiring from full-time employment in 1990. He officially retired in 1998. He held various positions there, including program director. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on board Liberty Ships. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marguerite M. Chapman Brown, whom he married Jan. 10, 1948; a daughter, Patricia Ackerman, of Erie; a brother, Charles Brown, of Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
