Delinda was the daughter of Nathan Boone and Olive (Van Bibber) Boone, granddaughter of the famous explorer Colonel Daniel Boone. She married the Reverend James Holmes Craig on April 29, 1819 in Femme Osage, St Charles County, Missouri. There have been an unrealistic amount of children attributed to this couple by various genealogy researchers, so I am going to refrain from trying to mention all of their children.

Seven known children born to this union are: Lemuel, Nathan B., Melcena Morris, Emma Cutler, James Lionel, and Elizabeth.
On April 24, 1856 approximately sixty women led by Delinda, took law and order into their own hands to rid Hanover of its drinking and gambling building. The women worked at destroying the buildings with crowbars and ropes until all four walls tumbled down.
