Bruce H.Karns was born November 20,1929 in Osborne,KS to Harry Daniel and Helen(Lank)Karns.In 1941 the family moved to Junction City.He attended Junction City Schools,Graduated from the Junction City High School in 1947.From Kansas State University in 1951.He served as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S.Army.September 13,1953 he married Donna Lee Gfeller in Junction City.He worked in public relations and was a radio broadcaster for many years at KJCK Junction City,KS.He was a 50 year-plus member and past commander of the American Legion Post No.45 and local No.1029 40/8 Voiture.He was associated with the Junction City U.S.O. and Y.M.C.A.was member of the Zion United Church of Christ.Serving in several church offices.
Mr.Karns passed away September 16,2008 at his home in Junction City. He is survived by his wife,Donna Lee of the home.One daughter,Susan Kohman of Junction City.One son,Brian J. of Calif.
