Norbert Woodrow. "Bunch" Bennett, 88 of rural Alexandria, Mo died Sunday, Nov. 4th, 2001, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
He was born on March 4, 1913, at his parent's home in Clark County, Mo., yhe son of George and Frances Markus Bennett. He married Dorthy Arnold on March 14, 1937, in Kahoka.
She survives. Additional survivors inculde: a daughter, Deanna Sue Losey, and a grandson Cory Losey, both of rural Alexandria, a sister, Madeline Benham of Keokuk; and several nieces and newpews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill and two sisters, Claire Bennett and Marie Hastings.
He and his wife weeree devoted parrtners for the next 64 1/2 years. He lived his entire life in Clark County. Mr. Bennett started farming at the age of five with a good team of horses and continued farming the next 83 years.
He lived to farm, fish and work in his vegetable garden. The past few years he and his wife could be found playing cards and visiting with theirmany friends at the Clark County Senior Center. Mr. Bennett
was extremely proud of his grandson, whom he referred to as a natural born farmer. He shared with his granson his enjoyment of fishing and taught him to love and respect life.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kahoka, with the Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating.
Burial will be in the mausoleum in Kahoka City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, with family meeting from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be madde to the Clark County Nutrition Site in Kahoka.
