Douglas Michael Flick, age 46, of Okeana, passed away on Monday May 2, 2011 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. He was born in Hamilton on August 21, 1964 the son of Donald and Burela (Ledington) Flick.

Doug was a 1982 graduate of Badin High School and a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. He was employed at Kroger for 22 years, the last 14 in facility engineering working in HVAC. Doug loved all sports, especially football, archery, golf, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed coaching children's soccer until a rare disease called Pick's robbed him of many of life's joys. Doug was the type of person one would want to come by if they were stranded on the road or needed help in any way. He knew no strangers and would always try to help others.

He is survived by
his son, Douglas M. Flick II of Monroe;
his daughter, Krysten Marie Flick of Monroe;
his parents, Donald and Burela Flick of Okeana;
his brother, Patrick D. Flick of Orlando, Florida;
his sister, Kellie (David) Lockwood of Florence, Indiana;
nieces Anna, Emma, and Lily Lockwood;
many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to cherish his memory.
