Asenath Bostwick Post and her husband Darius lived in Portland, Chautauqua County, New York when they died. According to an obituary on page 3 of the March 8, 1831 issue of the Chautauqua Phenix, Asenath died on the above DOD in Portland Twp, NY and is believed to have been buried in the Brocton, Chautauqua, First Baptist Church cemetery which was closed in 1880 and all graves moved to Portland Evergreen Cemetery in 1908. No marker has been found for Darius or Asenath in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery or in the nearby W. Main Street Cemetery in Pomfret, NY, where their son Arthur B. Post is buried.
