Woody was a member of First Baptist Church, Elks Lodge, American Legion, V. F. W., Masonic Lodge and Shrine all of Carmi. He was a salesman for Reed Roller Bit, Smith Bit and Rector & Stone Drilling. He was also a WWII Army veteran.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gene Frymire of Henderson, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Kay Huffer of Enfield; five grandchildren, Anthony and wife, Staci Huffer, Heather and husband, John Brumfiel, Shonna Riedell, Keith Fleck and Rob and wife, Kristan Frymire; 11 great-grandchildren; the mother of his childen, Mary Lou McBrayer of Henderson, Ky.; step-daughters, Donna and husband, Terry Lutes and Dixie Vaught all of Springfield; a step-son, David Vaught of Naperville; six step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
