Juanita Qualls, age 81, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to E.W. and Nellie Connerley. She attended schools in Twin Falls, where she met the love of her life. Juanita and Tim Qualls were married Jan. 17, 1948, in Ely, Nev. They were blessed with two children, a son and a daughter. Her family was her life and, after Tim's death May 23, 1997, she was totally devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Juanita is survived by her brothers, Alvin Connerley and Arlie (Star) Connerley of Lewiston; her children, Dean (Marilyn) Qualls of Emmett, Idaho, and Sherie (Rex) Champneys of Kimberly, Idaho; grandchildren, Dennis (Megan) Qualls, Etta Kay (Kent) Schumaker, Tim Qualls, Anna Qualls, Kent (Anna) Champneys and Angela Champneys; great-grandchildren, Kelty and Zarina Qualls, Rhone Schumaker, Cooper, Aaron and Hadley Bee Champneys, and Ashton Anderson. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tim Qualls; and two sisters, Lucille Maddox and Mary Olsen.

Nita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. We love her dearly and will miss her greatly 'till we see her again.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest at her husband's side. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
