Bobby Joe Lansford, 75, of Hewitt, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, in The Woodlands, Texas, after a brief stay at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where he was being treated for leukemia complicated by a stroke. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. Interment will follow in Lost Prairie Cemetery.
Bobby was the son of the late Joe Preston and Addie Pearl Sims Lansford. He attended Groesbeck High School and was a graduate of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. He retired from TSTC in Waco. Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hewitt.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Kay Weber.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Donna May Sims Lansford; son, Brandon Joe Lansford and wife, Paula, of Houston; grandchildren, Natalee Shanks and Cory Weber; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Shanks and Preston Weber; other family members and many friends.
