From _The History of Windsor County, Vermont..._ (Aldrich & Holmes, 1891), page 694:

"Fisher, Jesse, a native of Massachusetts, came to Chester in 1797, and settled in the northern part of the town. He married Jerusha Armsbury [Armsby]. Their children were Joseph, Herman [Hermon?], died single in Chester in 1822, aged twenty-nine; Ira, died at Worcester, Mass.; Lyman, died in Michigan; Pitts, died in Boston; and Joanna, married Joshua Cook, and died in Genesee county, N. Y. Jesse died in 1882 [sic; 1822] in Chester, aged fifty-eight years."

From _The Fisher Genealogy: Record of the Descendants of Joshua, Anthony, and Cornelius Fisher of Dedham, Massachusetts_ (Philip A. Fisher, 1898):

[Page 188, Eighth Generation:]

306. JESSE(8), oldest child of Joseph (162) and Mary (Everett) Fisher, was b. in Dover, Mass., Feb. 2, 1765; m. Sept. 19, 1792, Jerusha Armsby, of Medfield. They moved to Fitzwilliam, N. H. The History of Fitzwilliam says that Jesse Fisher, from Attleboro, Mass. (which we believe to be an error), "was taxed at Fitzwilliam, six years, 1793-1798. It is stated that he lived on Lot 8, Range 11, which he sold to Peter Prescott, and that he afterwards lived on Lot 16, Range 12, which he bought of Silas Wheeler." Then follows the names and dates of births of three children recorded at Fitzwilliam. From a pamphlet, entitled "Reunion of the Fisher Family, Grinnell, Iowa, Aug. 28, 1878," we quote the following: "About the year 1798, our grandfather, Jesse Fisher, moved up from Massachusetts or Southern New Hampshire into the woods of Vermont, and settled in what is now the town of Baltimore. He was a man of tremendous energy, but of little culture, and was principally engaged in hewing down the forests and in making his farm a fit abode for civilized men." Jesse Fisher and his wife Jerusha were buried at North Springfield, Vt., the epitaphs reading: "Mr. Jesse Fisher died Sept. 20th, 1822, in the 58th year of his age." "Mrs. Jerusha Fisher wife of Mr. Jesse Fisher died June 11th 1821 in the 57th year of her age." Their children were:
