Mr. Ricks was a native of Logan, Utah, and has been a resident of Bakersfield for the past 36 years. He was a public accountant, self-employed. He was a member of the American Legion, he Disabled American Veterans, the Odd Fellows and the United Commercial Travelers and he attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by three sons, Lewis C. Jr. of Bakersfield, Jerry of San Diego and Allen of the U.S. Army at Ft. George Meade, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Ila Marie Moon of Cupertino, Miss Verna June Ricks of Bakersfield and Mrs. Virginia Hunter of American Fork, Utah: one brolher, Paul of San Francisco: three sisters. Mrs Irene Bastow and Mrs. Reda Allen of Utah and Mrs. Carrie Fauberson of San Francisco. Mish Funeral Home, Oildale.
