CHARLES E. KEERAN, 79, b. Norman, July 8, 1906, d. Apr. 2, 1986.
A lifelong resident of the Princeton area, he was the grandson of pioneer John F. Keeran who came to the area in 1876. His parents were Henry Starke and Edna Jesse Keeran, the latter upon her husband's death taking the latter's place as Justice of the Peace, and becoming the first woman judge in California.
Mr. Keeran spent most of his life in the cement and gravel business. In later years he was employed by the Williams Unified School District. He was a member of the Maxwell Masonic Lodge and the Western Sacramento Shriners.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret five months earlier as well as several brothers and sisters. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including T.K. Marshall of Princeton and Rod Marshall of Fairfield as well as step grandchildren Charles and Dennis Richardson of Glenn and great grandchild Jada Richardson of Yuba City.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McNary-Moore of Colusa with burial at the Willows Cemetery. – Transcribed by M.
