Major League Baseball Player. Born Atlanta, Georgia, he was a left fielder making his debut with the Milwaukee Braves on June 13, 1961. For ten seasons, he played with the Milwaukee Braves (1961-63, 1965), Atlanta Braves (1966-67), Cincinnati Reds (1968) and Montreal Expos (1969-71). He ended his career with a record of 485 runs scored, 778 hits, 133 home runs, 415 runs batted in, a .252 batting average and a .976 fielding percentage. He also played for the Minor League Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs in 1964, when he batted .317, 39 home runs, 102 runs batted in and was inducted into the Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame in 2000. He died of cancer at the age of 65 in Atlanta, Georgia.
