Born April 2, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Rudolph and Emma K. (Knoflichek) Lange.
He was the Founder and former Executive Director of Greene County Youth Alternatives. He was a member of the Solsberry Christian Church and formerly the Bloomfield Rotary.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Evelyn A. (Johnson) Lange whom he married November 24, 1961; his children, Eric and Rebecca Lange of Lebanon, Ohio, Craig Lange of Solsberry, Tracey Lange of Bloomington and Brandon Lange of Solsberry; grandchildren, Matthew Lange, Jonathan Lange, Andrew Lange, Joshua Lange, Candace Carlson and Grace Lange; and one sister, Ruth Carlson of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Solsberry Christian Church, with Rev. Wesley Johnson and Rev. Don Thie officiating. Burial will be in Solsberry cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the Solsberry Christian Church. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Solsberry Christian Church for all their impeccable help they have provided the Lange family in recent years.
