Leo Mayrose, 88, of Hellertown, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Blough Health Care Center, Bethlehem. He is the husband of the late Margaret M. (Sullivan) Mayrose who died August 1, 2003. Born in Remsen, IA on March 30, 1923 to the late Benjamin and Josephine (Ernster) Mayrose. Leo worked as a Printer in RR Donnelly in Chicago, IL many years until retiring. He served his country honorably during WWII in the US Navy. Leo member of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Colesville.
Survivors: Children, Joan T. Mayrose of Hellertown, Thomas L. Mayrose and his wife Sandy of Hometown, IL, Nancy M. Mayrose wife of Richard Barnard of Hillsborough, CA; sister, Margaret Schaubert of Mishawaka, IN; five grandchildren.
Services: Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street-Hellertown. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by the interment at Union Cemetery of Hellertown with Military Honors.
