SYLVANIA, OHIO - William P. Beumel, 84, of 6546 Woodhall Ct., died Friday, July 3, 1981, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania.
A native of Tell City, Mr. Beumel was the son of the late Nicholas F. and Ellen (George) Beumel Sr.
He attended St. Paul's Elementary School and St. Meinrad School for five years. Later he moved to Toledo, Ohio where he was employed for 30 years with the former Willis-Overland Motors Inc. and Tyler Lumber Company for 20 years serving as secretary-treasurer. Mr. Beumel retired in 1971 and moved to Sylvania, Ohio.
Mr. Beumel was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Leona Poierer of Toledo, Ohio, in 1951; also a son Robert; a grandson , Robert Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Beumel Sabelhaus and a brother, former Tell City Mayor, Nicholas T. Beumel.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son William P. Beumel of Toledo, Ohio, a stepdaughter, Miss Judy Norton, Sylvania, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, July 6 at St. Joseph's Church in Sylvania, with burial there.
Attending the funeral services were Mrs. Nicholas T. Beumel, Tell City, and her daughters, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Montgomery of Bloomington and Mrs. Donald Kuster, Ellettesville.
