I love this picture of Mom. She had taken up oil painting. The lady who taught Mom was always taking about this little stray dog around her neighborhood that no one could manage to catch. She was afraid he was going to get hit. He finally started showing up around Mom and he would peak at her from the back of the house. Mom eventually won him over like she did everyone who ever met her and she named him Lucky.
Lucky was with us for about 12 years, and he was the biggest, sweetest baby you had ever seen. Another great addition to our family

Look what a beautiful gift we received today, Momma!
This picture seems to capture the true beauty that I saw in my Mother's face that day in the funeral home.
I can't describe exactly what the simularity is, but this is as close as I've seen since that day.

Another beautiful gift from MC. Without him I could only imagine what this picture may have looked like in color and now I get to see it with my own eyes every day! This was taken in 1973, by me, from the backseat of the car while we were on our way to Kentucky for another visit.
Whenever I look at this photo, I can clearly hear her laughter, and I am so thankful that this picture has made it through the years.
