Wilma Lorraine Glawson, age 92, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Iberia on October 20, 1916, daughter of Joseph Ulmer and Sadie B. (Aust) Glawson.

She graduated from Richland High School in 1934, and was baptized into the Christian faith in 1945 in Eldon. She served as Miller County Clerk for 27 years and worked for Humphrey's Creek Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1981. She enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Wilma was a lifetime member the Crocker VFW Women's Auxiliary and was also a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia.

She is survived by one brother, Joe Glawson and wife Faith of Tuscumbia; eight nieces and nephews and spouses, Joe P. Glawson of Richland, Susan Neal of Linn Creek, Dan Eckman of Wentzeville, Kathy Sohlman of Eugene, Or., Judy Ellard of St. Peters, Jan Bradfeldt of Eugene, Or., Alan Glawson of Tuscumbia, and Keith Glawson of Tuscumbia; 17 great nieces and nephews; and 31 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Freeda Eckman and Helen Scoles.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Charlie Worstell and Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Iberia Cemetery or Mt. Zion Christian Church.
