Mrs. Lowery Biddle
BEECH CREEK--Mrs. Alice Louise Welly Biddle, 83, an active member of the Methodist Church here, died suddenly in the night at her home in Beech Creek Township.
She was in her usual health this week, and had walked into town. She retired as usual about 9 o'clock last evening, but called her son-at 1 a. m. He found her dead in bed.
Mrs. Biddle had moved to her present home from Nittany Valley 29 years ago. She had been an active member of the Methodist Church for 65 years and attended here faithfully since she moved to this community.
Surviving were two sons and two daughters: Orrie, of Jersey Shore; Mrs. Roy Jones, of Bellefonte; Mrs. Ruth Robb and Paul Biddle, Beech Creek, with whom she made Her home. Also surviving were a sister, Mrs. Frank Houser, Bellefonte; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her husband, Lowery Biddle, died in 1925.
Her funerals services were held at the Biddle home with the Reverend Roy A. Goss officiating.
Interment was made in St. Paul's Cemetery.
The Bechdel Funeral Home, Beech Creek, directed her funeral.
