VENETA — The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today, April 24, at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, Calif., for Elizabeth Mae Lo Presti of Veneta, who died April 18 of age-related causes. She was 84.
She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Vermilion, Ohio, to Kent and Olive French Lindsley. She married Tony Lo Presti on Dec. 31, 1954. He died Feb. 10, 1994.
She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1949 from Ohio Wesleyan University. She worked for H&R Block in Southern California beginning in 1971. She moved to Veneta in 1984 and continued to work for H&R Block. She eventually started her own tax service.
Survivors include a son, William of Big Bear, Calif.; three daughters, Mary Keith of Murietta, Calif., Jeanette Hernandez of Wildomar, Calif. and Carol Kristie of Carson, Calif.; a brother, Warren Mehnert of Vermilion, Ohio; a sister, Jeannie Miller of Vermilion, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
